I tried a search but couldn't find the answer to this.

Does anyone know what the update on the Wii Party DVD is? Is it the 4.3 patch update?

Try reading the stuff suggested on this page I have linked to below. I have not read it myself, so I don't know if there will be anything useful on it, but do read through it:

Alternatively, you could go through with the update & re-softmod if you need to, or you could use a PC to find out what system menu update it has. To do this, please refer to post #2 on this page:
