Besides feeling like a complete Moron, and probably being one. Installing a Wiimod isn't something new to me.
After trying to get help from the WODE board I am here to hopefully find some kind of solution.
First Wii: Installed the wode. Wii worked great, everything fine, a day later, you turn the wii on, everything works great. Try to load a game (On disk or HDD) The wii shuts down four seconds later.
Grabbed my Wii. Same thing...
Okay, thought it wa sa defective wode. Wii's are now dead. mine included... get a new wii...
Exchange my wode.
Hook everything up to new.
Works great.
Two days later, a different home, different power source... I get a call... same problem.
Now I am very skilled in electronics (Glances at degree on wall) I would like to think I know SOMETHING. I installed the Wode per instructions. I read it over and over and over.
Replaced the DVD drive board, the whole DVD. Still same problem.
I am lost... I have no clue what is wrong. The chip is well insulated. Correctly hooked up or it wouldn't have worked the first time.
1) Wii will boot to Menu
2) Wii shuts down the second a game is trying to load
3) Wii (after chip is removed) will do the same thing. (Even with new DVD drive board and drive)
Anyone have ANY clue? It seems to be a main board issue (I am presuming) But what??
