Wii Softmod - Many apps won't load.

So I've been reading information from several locations.
I was able to get my Wii 4.2u installed with the HBC.

I have many useful apps loaded onto my SD but less than 20% of them load.
Most just go to a black screen and then the Wii becomes unresponsive.

My next steps were to:
1. Install <IOS70-patched.wad>
2. Install PriiLoader version 3b <rev v48>
3. Install\Load backup boot loader

I've read without the custom IOS I'm not going to be able to change anything else.

Why do I get "Not a valid Wii Application" or a black screen when trying to load anything from uLoader to WAD Manager?

Though some apps work just fine like ftpII, duck hunt, txted, WiiCalc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does this sound correct:
The next step I need to do is remove the empty stub and install the correctly patched IOS in its place?

There are so many tutorials that link off to 3 other tutorials that its a little ridiculous.

Especially with advice of just keep trying different files and IOSs.

I'm guessing there is no 1 right way to accomplish this task?

I got it taken care of. I needed a newer version for everything to function.
I haven't tested a backup yet but I'm dumping an .iso via DVD-Dump(Wii-Wifi Method)

As far as I can tell the stub was the problem, erased it, loaded the cIOS and now everything is golden. Not to mention I had to uninstall\reinstall HBC\Boot-Mii with a different download I found.

The 1st Boot-Mii I had loaded would just lockup at the starting screen.
