Wii Tennis Problem

I'm playing Wii sport's Tennis and I'm trying to return the CPU's serve, which isn't the fast serve, but the basic, cross court serve, and I can't return it, its like, I'm to early with the swing, does anyone know what this could be? I checked sensitivity, and also the sensor bar, everything is fine, any help would be appreciated.
