Wii USB Questions

So, I already softmodded my wii, and I tried quite a few times to get dvd+r and dvd-r discs to play games, and it's just not going to happen. So, I think I have one of those D3-2 chipsets. Will the USB software conflict with the software that I already put on the wii for the discs? I will put a link to the guide I used to softmod my wii.

I would appreciate any help... I just want to make sure that I don't corrupt my wii setting up the usb drive.

Is there a specific way of setting up this loader?

Sorry I'm a newb, I just got my wii a couple days ago, and I'm totally new to modding it.

OPTION 1 (LOADING APP FROM SD)
what you need :
sd card
configurable usb loader app
setup :
on you sd card make a folder called apps
next place configurable usb loader app in apps folder (or from provided link drag entire apps folder to root of sd)
next place "usb-loader" folder from link provided to root of sd (this folder is for you game covers)
run app from homebrew channel

OPTION 2 (LOADING APP FROM HARD DRIVE )
what you need :
hard drive (formatted to fat)
configurable usb loader app
setup :
on the root of hard drive make a folder called apps
next place configurable usb loader app in apps folder (or from provided link drag entire apps folder to root of hard drive)
next place "usb-loader" folder from link provided to root of hard drive (this folder is for you game covers)
run app from homebrew channel
