Is there any type of patch to be applied also the homebrew channel on specifies one USB device to switch to (when you hit the 1 button to hot-swap)

Did you read the guide? That should work with any firmware so long as you have the proper cIOS's installed.

I would much rather have homebrew release a stable IOS instead of a rouge customized IOS

the only reason for a hub is for music instruments. rock band has the official hub supplied with the FULL kit.

and why would you need multiple drives attached for HBC? it's useless. one drive with all your apps works.

if you don't like how cIOS works, then start coding your own since you don't like how stable they are.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Because of HBC and all of its apps and my own it leaves little room for NDS roms and N64 roms unfortunately Homebrew channel based emulators do not support zip files like regular pc emulators and there is a lack of emulator clones for the wii.

you still don't need multiple drives because of that; it's your wanting to cram everything into one drive that causes the problem.

make it much more simple; one drive STRICTLY for the wii. you'll have space problems if you rely on one external. so what if it costs more upfront? if your single external crashes, that's EVERYTHING gone. if my wii external drive crashes, i can easily reinstall all games and homebrew.
