Hi,

Has anyone tried updating the Wii System Menu to 4.3e with a Wiikey 1.99 * BETA * and do backups work as they did in 4.2e ?

I want to try Metroid M but do not want to install the required updated IOS's manually with HBC via WADManager
I think an updated IOS 56 is needed but would prefer the 4.3 update which is on the disc take care of it without having to softmod my precious.

You can safely update without losing any remaining modchip functionality, however, since you updated to 4.2, your modchip no longer plays games out-of-region. You can only play backup in your region. This setback does continue on to 4.3.

Thank you very much for your very kind and reassuring reply.
I was sorry to loose the out of region functionality but would have been gutted if the hardmod functionality had been compromised.
