wiikey 1.99beta update with nsmb bca support

has anybody had any luck getting nsmb to work on a wiikey v1 with the new 1.99 beta firmware flash, im still on 4.1 firmware and getting disc errors still even tho the firmware is said to have a fix for bca support and 3x disc speed problems, do i need 4.2 firmware installed to play??, i have the homebrew channel still installed but never use it beacuse of wiikey installed never had a problem on any games before this one

you need to update to 4.2 first of all. Second if you are afraid of losing homebrew copy the channel to your sd card before updating to 4.2. Also dont update via nintendo. Use safe 4.2 updater via homebrew.

how do i update via homebrew channel i installed hb when the first hack came out and never used it does it need updating or am i off track here

the homebrew channel will auto update itself for you as long as you have it on your wii. As for updating your system via homebrew you are required to have a sd card ready with an apps folder in it. Google safe updating 4.2 homebrew and you will get a homebrew app for the apps folder. go to homebrew and click on it and it will safe update your 4.2 wii safely instead of installing all this other junk that could mess it up.
