I have a wii with the first wiikey the chip has the 1.9s but i downloaded the 1.99b so ill b updating it i think the wii is at 4.0 i wanted just to be able to load the games from an external hard drive instead of burning them is there a good tutorial?

To do that you'd need a softmod guide to install the necessary cIOS.

If your wii is 4.0, you can use this guide to softmod, I think there is a link to a USB loading tutorial, I'm not certain.
