hi

I'm a bit out of date with my wii since my remotes broke (kids)i want to play nsmb game and see that there is now a update for this wiikey 1.9s and was just wondering is this the latest update and if i download it from there website is it just a matter of download burn and load like all the other updates. it's just that i've seen on a couple of posts saying that you need to change the txt in one of the files ???????????

1.9s is the latest update and it is applied just like previous versions, but you don't really need it and it won't help you play NSMB from a backup disk.

The 1.9s update is from may, and the only difference between it and g is that it fixes a glitch that prevented a wii with a wiikey from reading dual layer original disks.

NSMB though contains a new form of copy protection that makes the game randomly crash when playing from a backup disk.

To play NSMB you have four options:

1) Use the original disk

2) Patch the game to remove the copy protection. There are pre-patched disks floating around online

3) If the patch doesn't work, as it doesn't work for many wiikey users, you'll need to install homebrew channel and neogamma to bypass the error

4) Or you can install homebrew channel and a usb loader, copy the game onto your SD card or a usb flash drive (only about 512mb of space needed) and then the game will run from there
