Hello guys! I bought a Wasabi DX for no reason! and I got to know after that my console wouldnt support wasabi dx as it has the d3-2 drive.
I just wanted to know if I should get wiikey fusion and if that would work for sure with my console. I know i couldnt burn images to dvds, and have to load an iso on an SD card. But as long as I am able to play iso's it'll be fine.
Please let me know wheter I should purchase it or no! currently its not out yet, but by reading the description it seems like this is the one for me. I just wana know more about it before i actualy buy :)
thanks for reading :)
you could add me on bbm - 31f47669
Peace :)

Though my wii has an original wiikey installed, I purchased it at a time when modchips were the only option for playing backup games. I really wouldnt spend money on a modchip at this point when softmodding is very simple, totally free and, in some ways at least, superior to modchips.

so i could softmod my d3-2 console and play backups? what are some risks involved? if it goes well, then il go with softmod instead of paying for fusion!

Firmware 4.2 is currently the most advanced firmware, so we don't know what future updates might do to homebrew. Most of the recent updates have had negative impacts on it. Mostly disabling or blocking it. No damage has been done to consoles because of updates.
Generally it is a bad idea to update immediately when a new firmware is released on a softmodded wii. But after a few days or weeks new workarounds are found and you can update again.

oh ok thanks :) so im gona do the softmod.!
are there any particular instructions that I need to emphasize on? like sumthing thats really important!
Certainly im gonna follow the steps, but its better if i know what steps require more attention...
the thing is the console is my sisters, so m gona b screwd if i mess it up... lets just say, she wil brick me if i brick the console :P
