my wii is hard mod wiikey 1.9s I jsut burn New Super Mario Bros it ask me to update ..But there is a warning that
IF YOUR WII CONSOLE INCLUDES UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS THIS UPDATE MAY DETECT AND REMOVE UNAUTHI\ORIZED ...AND SO ON..

should I accept update?
will it work..?
will my old back up work as well?3

Yes, you can update. That warning is just there to scare people.

If the game contains 4.2 (I cant remember if it does) then it will block your ability to play backups from other regions without using homebrew to help. But backups from your wii's home region will still work fine.

AFAIK, NSMB doesn't work with a Wiikey. You will need to softmod.

I have a Wiikey with 1.9s. My disc backup doesn't work with Wiikey and Disc channel but works fine with Neogamma.

Hi all,

Replacing the dol file in the iso before burning disc got the game to work on my wiikey moded console. Using wii scrubber 1.4 extract the main dol file from partition 1. replace it with SMNP01 that can be downloaded from http://www.mediafire.com/?ekmmzzgyyag. with instructions. Game loads normal from the disc channel.

The patched dol file makes many wiikey users crash, but not all. I havent been able to figure out why some still work while others don't.

My system was originally running 4.1 firmware but i have back dated it to 3.3E so it would run old back up games. So maybe the patched iso works only on certain firmware revisions.

You have to load neogamma r7 (or newer) through wad installer (using ios249) to get the nsmb working.

I'm running it on wiikey 1 (ver 1.9s fw) with neogamma r7 (ios249, rev10... rev 10 or newer will work).
