Hi

I have a original wiikey (fitted about 2 years ago)
The wii was on 4.1e but i updated to Waninkoko's 4.2e.
Now the wii won't read back-ups but reads originals.(the wii would not read back-ups on 4.1e either)
I have the homebrew channel but it's upside down.
I'm running usb loader gx & that plays the games allready on the usb hardrive but won't load any more back-ups on to it.
I tried running the config disc & the 1.9s update & that loaded with sucess but the wii still can't read back ups.
I've tried quite a few back ups which i know worked in the past.

Please help.

Hi

I have a very similar problem too, which has just happened recently.
I used to have a PAL 4.1E with WiiKey installed about 2 years ago.
Everything worked well until yesterday.
I unplugged my Wii for about 1 week then I plugged it back again yesterday.
Unfortunately, I found that it doesn't read any of the backups but it reads the original very well.

Then, I updated to PAL 4.2E and it still does the same thing.

Is there any way to fix it?

I am using WiiKey and all the WiiKey utilities won't work, even when I still had 4.1E.

Hi

I've still not got the wiikey working.

I'm playing games from the hardrive with usb loader gx but i can't load backups to that either only originals.

I'll keep you posted.

I am in a smiliar position.

I had wiikey installed for 2 years, backups worked fine. I am still with 3.4 system

yesterday i updated the cios to 14 and tried to run mario backup from neogamma which worked. next day i start up my wii and it no longer reads backups.

Help please.

Does this mean Wiikey will no longer work with Wii update?
(I mean the original Wiikey, not Wiikey 2)

don't think so because i updated my wiikey v1 from 3.4u to 4.1u from original nsmb disc and all backups like mario kart still work fine i never messed with any softmod or form of homebrew thou
