Hi,

I have a wiiware wad for lostwinds, and theres about 10 seperate .wad files in seperate .rar files. How am I suppose to install that on my wii? Do I somehow combine those .wad files into one? I tried extracting one and installing it (it was about 43 mb) and the channel was on my wii but when I tried to run it it just restarted the wii menu, and being so I presumed thats not the right way to install it. Anyways, I've clocked a few hours of research into this and I cannot find out how to do it.

Thanks for the help

Your doing it the right way.

Do you have the proper region?

thank you for the response,

yes, proper region. its a usa version and mine is usa. forgive my ignorance, but you would think that if theres multiple .wad files in multiple .rar files that you would have to use them all. But yet the game seems to install when unziping one of them and installing it. Not that it runs though. Any other suggestions?

When downloading files from torrents or other places allot of times the file is split into multiple pieces to make it easier to transfer over the net. So this is common. All you do is select the first in the sequence and it will extract all pieces into 1 full file.

Are you trying to boot the VC game from the main menu or are you installing the VC game then moving it to an SD card and trying to boot it from the SD menu?

In Winrar, right click on any one file. Several shell commands should appear select Extract Here. This should yield a complete WAD file. This resultant file is the one you put in your SD card to install via the WAD Manager.

I tried that. Same thing happens. Game installs, channel is there, goes to a black screen when you click on the channel, then immediately goes back to the wii menu. :(

Could be the file you downloaded is mislabeled or has been patched to region free. Try downloading the game from another source.
