I ripped many of my own dvds to mp4 so I can import them to iTunes and export to iPod/Apple TV, but suddenly after about 45 movies iTunes stops importing new movies. I've read other topics and it's not the filename length, since it's short.
I really imported 1 movie and it went fine, and an hour later tried to import the next and it didn't work anymore. I really don't know what it could be. It's not just that one movie, it's all new movies that I'm trying to add.
It's getting frustrated since I wanna watch a movie with my gf... Anybody has any idea what I can do?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: QT7 keeps giving me "error -2041: an invalid sample description was found in the movie", tho the movies are ripped with HandBrake and the movies that I previously added to iTunes showed no problem opening in iTunes, but they give the same error in QT. Can that have anything to do with it? (I already re-installed QT).
All you have to do is look for the downloaded movie file, and drag it to the Video section you have in your playlist. For instance, if you have "Music Videos" as a name in your playlist library, you go to the folder in you computer, take the mpeg file or whatever and drag it in "Music Videos". Easy as that.
And i share you a column about iPod Transfer Backup. This has worked perfectly for me everytime I've tried it.
Hope it can do you a favor.
I would take a stab and ask did you upgrade itunes just before you stopped being able to import your own movies? I haven't upgraded my itunes on my ipod in 5x years. I suspect less than 1 out of 100 upgrades improves something you want to be improved. The rest are trickier security routines. Check the top sticky in the audio forum. Near the bottom of that sticky is a link to a review of about 50 sync apps. Stop using itunes and use one of these instead. I would remove it but keep the itunes data in case you change your mind. There was a time when itunes attacked ipods that it 'owned' and then used a different sync app. You might also try to down grade your itunes.
