Whenever I try to copy pictures to a CD, I get this warning on both CD and DVD drives: ?G/: is not accessible. Incorrect function? I get this warning for both drives either when I try to use the ?copy/move? function or drag and drop. I did a little research and found it may be a Roxio problem but I removed Roxio from the computer a few weeks ago (I didn?t like it and it didn?t work very well for me). Moving picture files from one folder to a disk should be a basic Windows function to me but it seems my PC has lost the language for doing this. Its on XP operating system. Any ideas?

"Moving picture files from one folder to a disk should be a basic Windows function to me . . . "

What what you think you are doing and what is actually occurring aren't quite the same in this case.

If this weren't an optical drive this night be true. There are several more steps and internal operations involved to writing to an optical drive.

What happens if you use a DVD writing program to WRITE files to a CD?

Are you using a CD that has already been written to but not with multisession?
