How to prepare for the CCDC Competition?

:Please don't flag my question without actually reading it and offering assistance on where it should really go, as far as i can tell this is where it should be. It's childish to do that instead of actually being civil about it:


:Backstory:

I am in the CCDC at Ivy Tech Community College and i am responsible for Managing a Windows Server 2008 R2 build for our Active Directory.

I am swamped with research i need to do to prepare for this competition.

:Question:

I am trying to locate all critical security updates and i realize that i may not need all of them. The issue is we have limited bandwidth to work with and i cannot use windows update to get the latest security updates and we cannot take in software with us or any electronic devices which means we cannot pre-download anything to aid us in the competition. We also cannot download anything that isn't available to the public nor can we use file hosting sites as that could get us disqualified.

My question is simple....

Can anyone point me to a script that can intelligently identify security updates from the service pack 1 and single sources so i do not have to download the entire service pack. As i said it would take up too much bandwidth and i have to be considerate of my fellow teammates who are also going to be doing updates as well.

The script has to be relatively easy to find and available to anyone on the internet and not require an online subscription or an account to access?

Other suggestions, software suites and tips that could be helpful are greatly appreciated and extremely helpful. So please feel free to send them my way.
