Because it has been stuck at the same file for atleast thirty minutes.
well it depends.on my computer usually takes about 10-25 minutes between 38% and 60%.suppose to take 30-60 minutes for the whole scan.can depend on your connection speed and how many files it has to scan.

Edit:if it sticks at a file might be cause the file is really big or has a virus in it.

Well I had to close it again last night. It was at about 50% I think and about 50000 files scanned and 7 detected threats. I was right next to the router and it took one or two hours.

Should I one day just plug in the charger and just let it sit and scan for the whole time?

using hijack this remove the following from your computer

R3 - URLSearchHook: UrlSearchHook Class - {00000000-6E41-4FD3-8538-502F5495E5FC} - C:\Program Files\Ask.com\GenericAskToolbar.dll

O2 - BHO: Ask Toolbar BHO - {D4027C7F-154A-4066-A1AD-4243D8127440} - C:\Program Files\Ask.com\GenericAskToolbar.dll

O3 - Toolbar: Ask Toolbar - {D4027C7F-154A-4066-A1AD-4243D8127440} - C:\Program Files\Ask.com\GenericAskToolbar.dll

the only way you will learn about this is to google every entry in your hijack this log.as said in hijack this, use at your own risk.google is your friend.use it!!!

Alright thanks I delete the whole ask.com folder because I don't ever use it.

Alright weird thing number two: Sometimes when I open my computer regularly it has no internet connection then when I switch to safe mode I get internet again.

I forgot to add I used panda scan and I was looking for the folders and it was all in a cookies folder

c:\documents and settings\(My user name)\cookies\(My user name)@realmeadia[1].txt

I enabled hidden folders but I can't find the cookies folder.

I can't find my cookies folder either.
most my cookies are in c:users\(username)\appdata\local\temp\cookies

or c:\users\(username\appdata\roaming\micorsoft\windows\cookies
i have to use the search bar to access them.
