I downloaded microsoft virus remover to my desk top and then copyed it to a usb and then copyed it from uasb to my laptop which has a virus. When I try to open it I get "parmeter is incorrect".

what problems do you have? never heard of microsoft virus remover,but there is plenty of better programs out there.post back with your symptoms.
