This is a very unique issue that I'm having. In Adobe Flash CS4, sometimes while drawing, a random horizontal line appears from any given object, and extends to the right endlessly. The line is not selectable and not erasable. It is possible to cover it up by placing something over it in a higher layer, but could still be an issue.
I don't know what exactly causes the issue. At one point, I figured that it was because my computer was low on resources, because the issue frequently occurred while running Flash and several other programs (At one point, I was running Flash, Windows Media Player which is ridiculously resource-heavy, Bit-torrent, and Windows Live Messenger), but now it is occurring when running nothing but Flash, VLC, and Bit-Torrent, the latter two using nearly no resources.
At another point, I figured it was because the documents I was creating were very complex. I have not ruled out either of the possibilities, nor am I able to make a decision on which one seems more likely.
Furthermore, I am able to use undo, and the random line vanishes. At which point, I am able to save before the issue occurs. This fixes the issue a small percentage of the time. However, sometimes, when reloading the document in which the random line appears, any action at all causes the line to reappear in the same spot. The document file itself appears to show no other issues.
I have screenshots of the issue in action.
There are still several things I am considering to try, such as saving in a different format or using a different computer, but I just wanted to know if there was a solution before I went and wasted my time.
