Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes.
My neighbour was killed in Afghanistan a few months ago & after he died his laptop (Acer Aspire 5315) was given to his sister after the family got it back from the army.
Anyway, she brought the laptop to me & asked if i could install a T Mobile USB Broadband PAYG Dongle on it.
Since it was the newer version of T Mobile software (Mobile broadband manager) that needed to be installed, i had to uninstall the old T Mobile software (Web & Walk) which i did.
After doing this & rebooting, the laptop failed to boot up & i tried everything i could.
There was no recovery disk so i had to use the Acer erecovery management to restore it to factory settings.
Only problem is, it's deleted everything that was on the laptop, including the pictures of her brothers time in Afghan.
Now i feel really bad & wish i never touched the thing in the first place. :/
I downloaded a program called recover my files & tried that & it found over 6000 pictures, but they're all junk & not even 1 picture that we would have liked.
Does anyone have any suggestions on any other software that could hopefully recover these pictures or any other ideas ?
Thanks in advance for any help we receive.
Meant to say that its running Vista if that's any help.
Some days ago I was also suffer with this problem and after that i searched on internet photo recovery software and i found Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery Software.I tried this software. It recovered all my photos. You can also try this. You can search it on google by:
Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery Software
My advice to you would be to avoid using the laptop anymore, as this could prove to be harmful and would not do any good. It is best to do a bit of research and download a good deleted photo recovery tool that can recover the deleted files.
