can not open Windows Media Player 11 on desk top

when you play a video with media player you only see the name in the tray at bottom. the audio is there but no video seen. have removed & re-install player 11. many search results have not provided a answer. any help appreciated.

Try to install codecs for it i think if u download DivX u should be sweet.
