I have a 2TB HDD full of video and audio, i have manually copied the content on to 2 1TB HDD, i used these as backups but i also give these to different people for editing.

i need a program that will copy any changes i made to the files on my 2TB to which ever drive i want to update.

For example i made the backup about 5 months ago and i have edited/created about 100 files since then but mainly move files to different folders depending on its stage, i want to be able to copy the folders over and it automatically deleted / copy and move files so it is an exact clone.

when i drag the folder now i only have about 40gb free and the folder is 730gb so it says i don't i have space available. at the moment the only solution is to deleted the whole folder and copy the whole thing over.

All so a program that could check my files would be good as i am copying files and i getting the cant read error and i have to skip the file.

Try SyncToy or SyncBack.

the latest version of easeus todo backup can detect event changes to drives or specific folders,i know acronis certainly can however i'm not sure they'll just copy the files or whether they create their own zip file

other option is teracopy which is a replacement for windows file copy but with better options

a quick test with a folder you changed should give you an idea if it'll do what you require,if it works & you decide to transfer more data than there is free space hit ignore then the options will appear to overwrite or skip or overwrite older etc

thank you for the help, i managed to get hold of a few of the programs and they kinda worked but the problem is now I'm copying files over that i have just moved so there's 2 copies in 2 different directory's.
Is there a program that can compare 2 folders and list the differences then i suppose i can see whats on the 1tb backups and if there missing on my 2tb drive I'll then know I've deleted or moved it for a reason.

Free dual pane file explorer
Q-Dir Portable
MultiCommander

"WARNING AT THIS STAGE IT WOULD PAY NOT DELETE ANYTHING TILL YOUR SURE"

assuming this is still videos it wold pay to have easy media info installed as it can tell which videos have higher bitrates & are the ones to keep
