I was wondering if I use this program can I then transfer my dvd's to my IPad. With a program I already have.

Use handbrake. It's an Apple product and more than likely only uses mp4 format.

Videora is another free app that works very well. It converts the file, saves a copy, and adds it to iTunes automatically. Very simple to use.
