Hi I Am looking for a desktop monitoring program that I can install in my small business, but have no idea which one is good and which one is worth the money. Basically I want to be able to see the desktop at all times whenever I want, and if the laptop has a web came, be able to take control and see through it sort of speaking. I have known programs like this in the past, I use to have one in fact but after reformatting my hdd and what not, I forgot the name of it. Does anyone have any idea where I can start? at least just for the desktop monitoring and not the web came if not possible? A good recommonded program would help. Thanks in advance

thanks but i am just looking for a simple program. I tried to use those and had no idea what to do. I use to have one that you downloaded to your computer at least the server part, and then on the other computer you did a stealth install that was always running. Then you got on your computer and typed in the ip address of the person computer that is on your network and you were able to view their desktop and webcame directly without fuss. I wish I could remember the name of that program but I have no clue what it is.

try PREY, just install it, then follow the setup on their webpage
http://preyproject.com/
Its mainly used for anti-theft, but it should suit your needs just fine.

Hello ajf81280 what kind of monitoring feature does a good desktop monitoring software would look like. Also for whom would you it be using for also monitoring software should not be intrusive. If it is for your employee I know software that would be useful for your business it is a screen monitoring software to be exact. It has different monitoring features like screen monitoring that take a fairly accurate picture of what a person do during working hours. It also monitor which application, document, or website is actively being use also for how long does a person spend time to a particular website. In this link it discusses more about different monitoring software and its features. It can also help you decide on what would be the best software for you to use for. That depends on your budget, business type, number of employee, and the features of the software itself.

I mean i prefer a free one...the one I had was earlier was the easiest one but I redid my HDD and it went away. The one I had was I installed the main one on my computer and installed the stealth version on the other computers. I had the ip address of the other computers and because of this all i did was type in the persons ip address and it allowed me to look at their desktop, control it, look through their webcame so what the webcame saw I saw...and it was free(trial for 30 days). I would have bought it if i could remember the name because it was the most user friendly program i have ever come across when dealing with this type of thing.

I use CensorNet Desktop Surveillance in my small business and it works well. It doesnt let you control web cam, but it records all the screens (local, remote, multi monitor) whether the laptop is on the local network or roaming. Just type the name into Google as I can't post a link as I'm a new member
