Help with .NET framework problem please?

I get this error coming up every so often on my PC. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the .NET framework but it still comes up. Any help appreciated to get rid of it. Thanks in advance.

Install the latest service packs before you install the newest .NET
.NET 3.0 only requires SP2 on XP.
