...run a macro (involving mouse clicks and keystrokes) on a separate virtual desktop, while letting me still use my mouse and keyboard freely on the main desktop?

The virtual desktop is not even necessary if there would be a way to make the macro simulate clicks and keystrokes on a window for me that I don't have to keep in foreground, and still let me use my keyboard and mouse as I please, somehow.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate.
