iTunes Weird Error

Hi. I seem to have a problem with my iTunes version 9.0.2. When I convert a video to m4v or mp4 format and add it to itunes, the runtime is shown to be an exact double. For eg: If a video has a runtime of 20:21, then iTunes shows it to be 40:42. It still howeveer plays the original runtime. But this error is kinda humiliating. And it shows up as the same in the iPhone. How can I correct it?
