I downloaded WinRar onto my computer to try and download and play a version of Close Combat that I bought off of Matrixgames.com. First off, I really don't know exactly what I am doing, so I'm already a leg down. But I bought the game, clicked on the link to download, (took 2 hours), and when I went on to try and play it it said I needed to insert the Close Combat CD. I don't know if I am using WinRar right, or even if I am downloading what I need to be downloading or not. Can somebody please help me or walk me through what I'm doing so I don't screw something up too bad? Thanks!!!
Do you know what type of file you extracted with winrar ? eg: iso, exe, if it's iso file burn it to disc with magiciso and install it from there. Good Luck, Rev

Since the user is getting the error "it said I needed to insert the Close Combat CD" he or she has obviously already installed the game.
@Slugger85 - Just fyi you purchased a illegitimate copy of a game from this Matrixgames.com website which is why the game fails to run properly. If you didn't know this I would say your best plan of action is to contact the website for a refund (doubtful they'll do it but who knows) and should they refuse file a dispute with your method of payment i.e. credit/debit card, paypal, etc. Which is why when you go to play the game it gives you the error about the games cd not being in the drive.
game probably came inside an iso file. wrong thing to do is to extract that file. burn the image with some disk burning software, not as a file, but as an image, install it from the cd then start the game with your cd inside. it is possible to install the game from extracted data, but to play it i needs to be installed from the cd.
