I loaded a copy of my retail vista ultimate on my moms laptop. I tried to activate it but it says the key has already been used and I need to buy a new one online. the only problem with that is the link provided doesnt take me to a place to do it. I cant even google and find out how. Can someone please help. I only have 3 days of trial left!

Buy a copy of Vista Ultimate from a retail store and use that key

or try activating Vista again, which should give you the instructions for contacting the Microsoft Porduct activation Line:

If your 30 day trial runs out, you can reset the countdown for another 30 days. This isn't a permanent fix, but it can give you some time to purchase a valid license. This process is valid and supported by Microsoft. You can follow the steps from the following link.
