Have several access 2007 databases, however the person we paid to set up a program has password protected the files.

I really need access to them as it'll save me weeks of reentering the same data into a new spreadsheet.

thing is is that the files are saved as .000 .001 etc files
At first I thought the database was partitioned, but some older files to which we do have a password show they are indeed separate access databases.

I downloaded a trial version of passware to try to hack teh password via brute force method, but it doesnt recognise the file as an access file.

Is there anyone who know how I can find the password for the file? It would be very much appreciated!

sounds like they are rar files.. try a rar password cracker or have a guess..

sometimes archives ask for a pass when in reality they are corrupt or incomplete.

also.. instead of payware trials (which never work.. they tease you to pay out a fortune).. try..

personally I would fone the person who set them up and demand the password.. you have leverage.. like you can trash their reputation very easily these days.

they are definately not rar files. so first tip wont work

I already used accesspv to get the passwords for the older versions of the files. But now it shows that the new files are not recognised so wont give me a password.

Any other ideas, please?

Oh and the guy I dont think he cares atm, ripped off my employer for a really shit program and now has prevented access to the databse, happened over a year ago so we cant really do much now.
