I just purchased the parts to build my first new computer since 2004, I've been using RecordNowMax for my recording purposes since 2001; it still suits my purposes but I don't know if it supports Blu-ray; if anyone knows, that would help (and/or if there are patches for it somewhere to support blu-ray let me know as I'd really prefer to continue using it). I'll have a Pioneer BDR 206 and I'm looking for an optical recording program which:
1. Does not leave any processes running after I close it,
2. Does not automatically open itself every time I insert a disk into the drive,
3. Records disks as reliably for use in set top boxes like RNM does for DVD's.
I read somewhere that Roxio purchased the burning engine that was written for RNM, but Roxio's creator software used to install itself to run all the time in the background, make itself the default program for a lot of things, and if you turned that automatic function off, whenever you used it, it automatically put itself back into the automatically run on windows opening mode. Basically, it was a predatory PITA program. Nero wasn't reliable or stable back then either and created a lot of coasters, and I don't want to shell out for more shelfware.
So, any suggestions? What are you using now to burn blu ray disks?
