ePSXe Emulation Cheater Malfunction

Since I had no idea where to post such a question, I just decided to post it here.

Ive had ePSXe for a few months now, and I used the cheating plugin for a few games, Namely Final Fantasy 8 and Digimon World 3. Now, I wanted to play Final Fantasy 9, but at first I got this message:
some important gpu plugin functions for executing aren't existing in the currently selected GPU-Plugin, or the Plugin doesn't exist anymore, etc.

What to do? I got a screen asking for a plugin, so I took the newest one, I think it was called Petes Open Gl Driver 2.9. The emulator crashed, I got a few error messages and the whole thing froze up. Any hints on how to fix? Ive seen several people complaining on Youtube as well.

Im just a kid with lots of questions. A kid which craves answers. Whats wrong about that?
