Flicker in Max Payne 1 and 2

Decided to get nostalgia and play Max Payne 1 and 2 before I jump into 3. They both installed fine and seem to run fine no lag or the common mouse problems people have.

There's one exception. With both games I get a strange flickering in the top right of the screen

I've tried changing several settings in both games to no avail. Anyone ever see anything like this?
