No, the only games where Squall and Cloud are together are the Kingdom Hearts series, and the Conflict: Final Fantasy series, or Dissegia or whatever it is...

There's no way for Cloud to be seen, obtaiend or furthermore mentioned in FF8. Unless you were to rescript the game, add a new skin, lata lata, but I can only see that likely on the PC version.

In the Final Fantasy series the only character whos in more than one and is canon to the whole thing is Gilgamesh which was first featured in Final Fantasy V for the SNES.
He's in FF8 I'm pretty sure, as a guardian force, he shows up in multiple other Final Fantasy' games using the swords of the main characters from previous games.
Claiming to have defeated them
He's the only one linking games together.

this is one of the best final fantasy game too i wish there will be a remake of these game.. but i more wish they will remake the final fantasy 7 first cuz i'm eager for it lols..

Square would make a murderous amount of cash if they were to update and re-release those titles. I can't imagine that it won't happen one day, they've gotta have something up their sleeves.
