Got a DSI XL i want to run emulators on it such as Genesis Master System GBA GB/C TG16 NES SNES any emulator i can and of course play some NDS games on it. A local guy sells a "R4" card around here and he wants $65 for it loaded with all the emulators NDS games and such. What I can find online is that R4 cards are about $9. I was looking into a Supercard DSTWO but there kinda pricy and they only support GBA emulator. Any sugestions on what is the best card for my needs and where to by them in the States so i dont have to wait weeks to get it from China

thanks in advance

First, I wouldnt buy an R4 at any price, especially not one from 'a local guy' because then you have no idea at all what you're getting. Even online it is hard to tell exactly what R4 you're getting. Some of them are pretty good, others are terrible.

Also make sure you're getting one that is compatible with a DSi. None of the older flashcarts work on the DSi.

Anyway, the reason the supercard DStwo is so pricey is because the DSi, both standard and XL versions, have had the hardware to play GBA games removed and the supercard has that hardware built right into the flashcart. (still buggy though from what I hear) There is no way to play GBA games on a DS without that hardware. The supercard team also promises SNES support, but so far that hasn't happened yet.

As for the other systems, there are plenty of free emulators out there that you can download and play on any flashcart, but not all of them work very well. NES and GBC emulation work pretty well, but SNES and genesis emulation is iffy at best. Some games work, most don't. Or not at full speed anyway.

The local guy said that it worked with the DSi XL and guaranteed it but $65 for it was just crazy.

So what would you suggest? Should I get a DS Two or just wait till it has better support? The DS Two seams like the best card out there so far.

I would recommend DS Two since you want to play GBA and SNES. It's the best flashcart nowadays , I never regret to buy DS Two ...
$65 for an R4 is very crazy , the price for SCDS2 is just $35 , currently there is a 5% discount code : Acekard at Lightake.com ,bought several times from them , never a problem.
