Can a r4i be used in a normal DS.

My mate bought an R4i card online but only has an DS, can the r4i be used, or will he have to send it back.

You shouldn't need new software to make it work on the DS Lite, as long as it's going backwards it's fully compatible.

But flashcarts do not come with the firmware on them! he needs to get it
