can you play englishs ds games on a ds from tenerife

hi there my girlfriend wahts to buy a nintendo ds from tenerife but were not sure if the games she has will play in it. will they play or will she have to get games sent over from tenerife

As far as I'm aware, the Nintendo DS has no region lock on it so any DS can play games from anywhere, the only exception being Chinsese language games, which can only be played on a Chinese DS, it's something to do with characters stored on the system.

Bear in mind that the newer, DSi IS region locked and you will have problems there.
