Converted .sav files not working for acekard 2i?

Hi, I have a problem where i get the save files from gamefaqs.com (.duc) and go to shunyweb.info (ds converter website) to convert the .duc file to .sav . I rename it to the right name for akaio 1.5 firmware (GAMENAMEHERE.sav) and it usually works for some games. But how come it doesnt work for certain games like pokemon platinum? it doesnt make a new save file,but it doesnt read the previous data, it just starts a new game. any help?
