DS fomat gone wrong???

HI, Im a newbie, so dont go heavy on me. Just formatted my DSlite as I was recommended to do it due to some game dwnloads not working (save file errors) So.... wiped the games off onto a disc, formatted the ds, put all the games back on.....and got Error:open xmenu.dat error when switching the ds back on, also got error data is not align 16k, ive tried the holding down the start and select button but that isnt bringing anything up. When I put the DS usb lead in it brings up the file as a removable drive and when I open it up it shows all the games that have been put back on to the DS....so they are there but I cant seem to open them up....any help would be good as the kids arent happy ;-(

what ds cart you using? this is a key factor, you can't format the console, what have you done?

No, its a MK5. Ive managed to get it to format itself, without using the computer. Its doing it now so I will wait and see whats happens. Hopefully it will be ok
