Moonshell on M3DS Real; how does it work?

I've had my M3DS Real chip for about 3-4 months now & I understand everything about it except Moonshell.
So I have a few questions about it:
- How do you use it?
- What do I need to download to use it?
- Do I need to make a separate folder for moonshell like for the nds games or the system?
- What type of videos can be converted into the DS? (mpg4, avi, etc.)

That's about all I want to know because I'm not understanding this thing ,:/

Oh& if you got moonshell to work on your ds using m3ds real (which I know people have) please tell me how you were able to do it in steps or something like that C:
