Got 3 new R4 III sdhc with 8gb sdhc card from pandawill.com. Have done 7 others with no problem. I downloaded the newest 3.11 firmware from www.r4dsl.net as the package suggests. When I turn it on it doesn't recognize the card and takes me to the same screen as if I didn't put in a card at all, says no ds card inserted. It did this on all 3 cards, usually when I have the wrong firmware, it says loading forever, but dodn't even get that... please help

Try the paper shim trick, it sounds like the card is not connecting with the DS connector
