So I bought this cart a bit ago, and Ive been using it with no problems on my DSi right up until today... Nothing has changed on my micro SD, so Im at a complete loss. My firmware is 1.4U so my first thought was my firmware updated, but I never updated it...
Does the firmware automatically update? Fake Card?
Im at a complete loss here...

So my Card is def. a clone, but it worked before. When I have a good flow of cash Ill get a 5 star card. Still the question exists whether or not the DSi Automatically updates. Also can I flash the firmware of the card possibly?

the console firmware and the rom cart firmware are completely different, they only update console firmware when you select it in the options part when you choose the spanner of the console main screen, is you console online as if not it will not have been updated, ive not seen any games that come with firmware updates like the psp, R4 series seem to be phasing out and the support not there. Have you seen how many versions of R4 are out now? different firmware for each one. you can flash carts to run 1.4 i have on my dstti's question is if you can't find the software through all the different versions its gonna be like looking for the trees in the woods. kittymat seems to be ok on info on R4 and links for firmware look at a couple of threads and, when you find a post of him in his signature (bottom of his post) HE USUALLY HAS LINKS

Thanks for the reply. That means my cart worked for about 3 days on my 1.4 FW. Any ideas why it just stopped?
EDIT-
I know I have the right Kernel. Looks like Im SOL until I get my M3i Zero in the mail. It would be nice to get my R4 PO$ to work until then. lol
NOTE TO EVERYONE NEW TO THIS: DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Im not new to modding and etc. and I got burned. Luckily Im only out like $8.

using kingston micro sd (poor for use with flash cart), sd card is higher than 2GB and its not an R4 SDHC so it only loads 2GB 1.4 firmware killed it, cloned card and poorly made.
or you were unlucky enough to buy from www.dealextreme.com (aka fakeland)

lol! You caught me! DealExtreme. Thats where I got it from. Looks like I wait. Will this work on the DS or DS Lite or is my cart fried?

try it is the best way to find out. i use www.focalprice.com or www.ndscardshop.co.uk, my dstt was from there and non functional, i got hold of another loaded the program from there called fake killer disabled and re-wrote the firmware to the bad card by swapping them in ds lite, you might be able to do simular with R4, also some site have been selling dstt/dstti cards in there shell with dstt/dstti stickers on, i cant find the site i read it on at the mo will post if i do
got the info off www.gbatemp.net for the fake killer disabled, not R4 stickers on dstt cards
try and reinstall firmware for super R4i, also seems it seems dead try dstti 1.17a12 firmware see what happens, it won't damage anything just won't work getting some sort of symbol on screen saying no menu

Well now Im out of ideas unless it was just killed.
I was thinking it was because My most recent save broke the 2GB point. Apparently not if it supports up to 32GB.
Ill try the Firmware flashing ASAP.

Hmmm and you advertise focalprice . . . .and . . . .they sell all sorts of R4's too so you endorse fakeland 2!
All flashcart suppliers sell fakes, the one plus point for dealextreme is they do seperate them e.g. in the case of M3 you can choose to buy a genuine or a fake card, if you order the genuine article that is what you get!

didn't mean to upset the die hard Deal Extremer's, you could try www.ndscardshop.co.uk they deliver in less than a week, cards i bought from there i have run the programs downloaded from the genuine manufacturer site and the programs say genuine.

I must have the v1.4 Firmware cause it had worked with my DSi. It just kind of stopped working overnight without warning. Im still at a complete loss. Deal Extreme is sending a replacement so I might just resell it make some money back. Especially dince I have an Acekard and M3 coming.
