cant download torrents, pleeeeeaase help me.

I installed bittorrent and when i started the download i saw a little triangle in the bottom and it said "No incoming connections unless the icon turns green it could indicate a problem with your internet conigurations".
So, i thought that something is wrong with bittorrent so I installed utorrent and after installation it said the i have to set my connection preferences and there was a connection test so i pressed it and it showed an error saying a port (and then its number) is closed (it didnt download the torrent too, and showed the little triangle in the bottom)
can someone help me?
P.S. im using a router.

Find your router here, click on it, click utorrent in the next window and follow the directions: http://www.portforward.com/english/route...routerindex.htm Use a port over 10,000 and uncheck UPnP if it is at options>preferences>connection and make utorrent an exception in any firewall used.
