Hi -

SUMMARY:

I'm looking for a new BitTorent client. I'm currently using an old version of uTorrent. It has good features. It has a nice and small footprint. I run a Micro$oft OS.

I'm looking for a certain feature in the new client. The client should scrape the tracker of my stopped torrents (every 20 mins?) ... in uTorrent this is bt.scrape_stopped . When a torrent is found that has a leecher waiting the client should be start the torrent.

I could be wrong, but looking at the Azureus/Vuze website (URL below) it appears that Vuze supports this by using a seeding rank type of "Peers:Seed ratio." I realize that Vuze is a heavier client than uTorrent. I'm aware that Vuze has been banned by what.cd & waffles.fm and I'm not that concerned about it.

Do any other windows BT clients support auto-starting of torrents when leechers appear?

DETAILS:

I belong to a website that limits the number of torrents that one can seed at any one time to a very low number ... a handfull. There is no way to get the number raised / no donation / no increased "status" on the users part / etc.

Let's say I have 100 torrents downloaded and ready to seed. At any one time there are only leechers on 1 - 2 of the 100 torrents, if that. The desired client behavior is for a torrent to start seeding when a leecher appears. I can do this manually by setting bt.scrape_stopped to true in uTorrent and while at the computer I monitor the stats and start the appropriate torrent. I would like this to happen auto-magically. If needed I could stop the torrent after the leecher has gotten the download.

The object here is to share files more efficiently and quickly.

Vuze seems to support this sort of thing. Anybody know of any other BT clients that do this sort of thing?

Thanks loads for any suggestions you can make!
