Either will allow you to pick a random port each time you start. I recommend you use that option. Dub12dave mentioned forwarding your port. I ran for about a year with my port forwarded but I was getting blocked for hrs at a time even when it was forwarded. I reset my router and didn't forward this time because it is a bit of a pain. I don't see much difference.

I will add to my random port suggestion.

My experience has been the blocking is spotty with or without port forwarding. I admit I get blocked less when it is forwarded but I would still be blocked at least 25% of the time when it was forwarded. When I reset up my network this week I did not bother with port forwarding. I do not do much p2p anymore But I discovered I wanted something so I started up the system. I just had a very long block of hrs and I was thinking about forwarding my port, so I remembered this thread. My client showed that the port was blocked. A few hrs later the port was still blocked but I was getting more than 100 K. At least with uTorrent 2.x, once it connects to other peers the blocking may not effect the flow much. It may block making new connections but the old ones seem to work well enough.
