Ok...I will admit I am completely new at this. I have done some research on the internet about making the downloads faster. I know I need to adjust the port, but don't know how. I am running a laptop with a netgear router, and am using Vuze. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions to change the settings so that my torrents will download faster? Angel_Eyez_1204@yahoo.com

Find your router here, click on it, then find Vuze (Azureus), click on it and follow the direction's: http://www.portforward.com/english/route...routerindex.htm Guide there for static address as well if needed: http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm Disable UPnP in Vuze and edit out your email address also, against the rules as well as asking for trouble.

good advice mistycat.PnkPncss after all is done with port fowarding and static address, it all comes down to the seeders if they are only pushing 10kbs or so that is all you will get, the best thing to do is make sure that the torrent has a lot of seeders, also get with a private tracker, you will get faster speeds also depends on how much you share to. good luck
