so idk how its blocking my computer but i cant view the piratebay on anything firefox or internet explorer. my droid on the wifi network can. if i google search for a torrent from the bay it says

Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.

your isp or the computer you are trying to access it from are running a block.. either a parental filter or your isp have a blocklist up.. either will be got by with a proxy.

Well my ISP isn't blocking it cause I can access the site on other computers on my network. What's weird is I dual booted vista and 7 on my laptop. Vista works fine 7 wont load pirate bay. I have tried releasing my IP address to get a new one but nothing. Idk i guess those stupid proxy sites are gonna have to work for now. Theres no parental shit on here.

There is some malware that inserts torrent sites in to the hosts file on a computer.

Check at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\Hosts (open with Notepad) and see if there is an entry for PirateBay. If there is, delete it.

windows 7 .. says it all.. yopu know about the drm and hollywood insisted blocks on all kinds of stuff it contains?.. the stuff M$ bottled out of switching on with fista.......

you wanted suggestions what could be going on.. and as you neglected to mention that it was only 1 pc that was suffering this on your network (comparisons using a phone are not valid because that's a different isp completely) then theres not much to go on is there?

anyway.. only a retard can't work out why one pc will connect and another won't when they are on the same router/modem..

Windows 7 doesn't mean shit. I loaded mine and my gfs laptop with windows 7 ultimate with no problems from the bay lol. It has nuthin to do with the drm and shit from hollywood. All I know is somehow my ip address is being blocked just to the bay. Demonoid and all the rest work fine. I'm not the average user either so I kinda know what I'm talkin about. Iv just never seen or heard of shit like this. I know u can get banned but that site isn't a site u just get banned from eitgher. I guess ill just use other means. Transdroid and remote desktop here we come.
