There is no problem with your client. That is just how life is. You are getting credit for your uploads don't complain. You just need to set up more torrents to down load stuff. The only way you can have any control over your up and downs is to do it with quanity. You have 0 control over a given torrent. The tracker will 'feed you" when it is good and ready and there is nothing you can do about it except just hang in there. What it will do is cut you slack on a different torrent same tracker. You may be the preferred peer for that torrent because you are uploading but not down loading. The trackers prefer to keep you even on ups and downs. Unfortunately, for the ones you want, there are peers that the tracker feels deserve the download more than you, so you have to wait your turn.
uTorrent has a tiny tiny footprint, it's simple to use, etc And up to version 1.8.3 is toolbar free (some have reported that the toolbar of higher versions STILL installed it self, even though they opted out)
- If at first you dont succeed, skydiving is not for you....
- Youre a mod. Stupid questions are part of your job, especially those repetitive ones ... ;) Get used to it. Enjoy it.
Bonkabonk depending on what you are looking for, you may only have 'crappy' torrents to choose from. You can be picky with Lady Gaga's latest release but not with Clarence Gatemouth Brown recorded in 1956. The torrent has been up for a year and there have only been 18 down loads. You are just lucky to get it at all and often you don't, it dies out at 78%.
When you download crappy down load large quantities of torrents. If you have 50-100 crappy ones then you might get a bit of speed. That is what most persons that DL rares do. Because they are uploading that same number they my only upload 1 or 2 kbits. Thay is why the torrents are so crappy.
