First post here so forgive me if I miss anything of use in this question. I did read the rules and use the search function though..

This may actually be 2 problems, as I'm not sure if the 2 are connected. But basically I've been using uTorrent for well over a year and it's been ok (apart from the 2nd problem which I'll mention later). In the last few days I've installed Strong DC++ due to problems with DC++ not connecting properly, and this is a much better program IMO. However, this morning, the conflicts started. If Strong DC++ and uTorrent are open together then my Router (Trendchip) reboots itself every 30 secs or so. Close one program or the other and it's fine. So they won't run together. Strong DC is V2.40. uTorrent is 2.0.1 beta (build 18758).
The second problem (unless connected) is after about 3.30pm everyday my internet connection becomes unstable. The most I can hope for is 30mins up time until it drops for 30secs to reconnect with a new Ext. IP address. This causes hassle for DC++ as I have input the new IP adress and reconnect it so up/downloads can continue. During the day the connection has no problems.
My Desktop PC is wired to the router and my laptop is connected wirelessly. Both drop connection at the same time. Both are running Windows 7 and previously both were running XP pro SP3, but the problems were the same. Both programs have ports forwarded and PC and laptop have Static IP addresses.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
